SMPL-1 is a Chrome extension audio sampler that respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles data.

Data Collection

SMPL-1 does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or user information.

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API to save your audio recordings on your device. This data:

• Remains entirely on your local device
• Is never transmitted to external servers
• Is never shared with third parties
• Can be deleted at any time by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling the extension

Permissions Explained

SMPL-1 requests the following permissions:

• activeTab - To capture audio from the tab you're currently viewing when you click the record button
• storage - To save your recordings locally on your device for later playback
• sidePanel - To display the sampler interface in Chrome's side panel

Third-Party Services

SMPL-1 does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. All audio processing happens locally in your browser.

The extension includes an optional donation link to PayPal. Clicking this link will open PayPal's website in a new tab. Any interaction with PayPal is subject to PayPal's privacy policy, not this extension.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date.
